Reverse in Design is the process of extracting knowledge or design information from the masterpiece project. The ultimate goals for obtaining such design information are varied. A typical goal for reverse a design project is to create a (possibly improved) copy or even a knockoff. The process often involves disassembling and analyzing its components and workings in detail. After all, students can use the knowledge to further develop the concept and idea and use it for the next project.

According to stage 1 research findings, pick a building or site in Hong Kong which fits your topics and provide a new design proposal - to re-design the site context with the concept or idea according to the research topic. The next step is to study and analysis of the existing fabric of the selected site and then to explore a new design by using the adaptive re-use approach.
